THE PROJECT IN BRIEF
University of Copenhagen [KU] wanted to reach out to their students about studying abroad in order to make sure that they prepare well [and in time] for their big adventure. KU found that many students didn’t engage enough in the circumstances, practicalities and preparations for studying abroad and thus faced various challenges along the way that easily could have been avoided. KU therefore wanted the topic to be top of mind for all students planing to go abroad for a semester. W
We came up with the idea to try to inspire the students instead of the constant reminding and pointing fingers - which obviously didn’t work anyway.
The film instead tries to engage the students in the feelings, the worries, the exceptions etc. related to going abroard. Thus triggering the mind and focus of the students to make sure to prepare well and take responsibility themselves for their adventure. Using real students from the school to tell their own stories and inspire others gave a nice authentic feel to the campaign and ensured trust and engagement between the client and it's audience.
